Família viaja em trailer pelo mundo e aprende sobre novas culturas

Você já pensou em largar toda a rotina estressante e viajar pelo mundo sem destino certo e sem hora para voltar? Essa família levou esse pensamento bem a sério o e realizou!

Junto com os quatro filhos, Jonathan e Ashley decidiram realizar esse sonho em família. A escolha não veio apenas como uma alternativa de fugir da monotonia do dia a dia, Ashley optou por mostrar e vivenciar as experiências em outros países ao invés de apenas ensiná-los teoricamente sobre eles. Nesse caso, a prática aliou-se à teoria e as crianças aprenderam de fato sobre outras culturas, e os pais também.

We received the sweetest email from someone last night whom we have never met. . It was the type of email that makes you stop and reread it several times. The kind where you can’t help but tear up each time you read through it. . She talked about her kids being the same age ours were when we left 4 years ago. And about how she wanted to spend more time together as a family and simplify their lives. . It got me thinking about just how much has happened over these last 4 years. The heart ache, the laughter, the troubles, the adventures, but mostly all the memories we’ve made with our kids…all because we took a leap of faith. . We started our blog to share our experiences, but we had no idea that others would be inspired to follow suit. We always said that if we could just inspire one family to spend more time together then this would all be worth it. . O primeiro destino da família Longnecker após vender sua casa e comprar um trailer foi o deserto. Além do veículo, depois de um tempo compraram um Airstream, outro tipo de automóvel recreativo bem menor do que os convencionais.

Depois de um tempo voltaram ao trailer, porém como já haviam se acostumado com a forma compacta do Airstream, trocaram por um modelo Sovereign de 1972, bem menor. Fizeram adaptações como painéis solares, um banheiro de compostagem, tanques extras aliados a um interior bem moderno e sofisticado.

Can we talk about how awesome it is to have bunks that can convert to couches? . Granted, we don’t put them into couch position often, but when we do we’re like, ‘why don’t we do this more?’ . It’s nice for a change, but they do prefer just keeping their bunks as beds so they can have their own space. I get it. Contentment: A state of happiness and satisfaction. ◻️ After visiting a friend’s way too cute house, I found myself missing being able to decorate a house. Making art. Having our own room. Having air conditioning and a yard to invite friends over for a cookout. ◻️ I am content though. We have everything we need. A roof over our heads. A place we have poured our hearts into. The ability to explore awesome places with our four kids. I am happy. I am content. It’s clean for like 5 second before our first meal. . First meal? We don’t know what to call it. We love intermittent fasting. Basically we stop eating by 7pm and don’t eat until around 11am. . It’s amazing how much better we feel when we do this. Not to mention…less dishes to wash each day. . Sometimes the kids do get hungry before 11 so they grab an apple or granola bar. But for the most part, they chose to do this with us. . Have you ever tried intermittent fasting?
